Professional Development Pro™ Notifications (Company Administrators)

We’ve set up a simple notification system to keep everyone in the loop when using the Professional Development Program. Whether you’re submitting a request or reviewing one, this article breaks down the notifications you’ll get, from confirmation emails to approval updates.

You’ll receive these updates through email and Slack (if you have the integration set up), which are designed to help you stay on top of things as you move through the Professional Development Program process.


Employee Notifications

Notification Type Frequency
New Professional Development Program Available Whenever an employee is eligible for a new Professional Development Program.

Remaining Balance Reminder

(Only sent to employees that have a balance remaining for their stipend)


Annual Program 2/15, 5/15, 8/15, 9/15, 11/15, 12/31

Semi-Annual Program 4/15, 9/15, 10/15, 12/31

Quarterly Program 6 days before the last day of the quarter, & the last day of each quarter

Monthly Program 6 days before the last day of each month, & the last day of each month

Pre-Approval Request Approved & Funds Approved for Reimbursement Whenever your Professional Development request has been pre-approved. You can now submit your expense for reimbursement.
Pre-Approval Request Rejected Whenever your Professional Development request has been rejected. The notification will provide the rejection reason.
Reimbursement Request Rejected Whenever a Professional Development expense has been submitted for reimbursement and was rejected. The notification will provide the rejection reason.
New Comment Whenever a reviewer adds a comment in the "Comments" tab for a submitted Professional Development request.

Notification Type Frequency

Pre-Approval Request Submitted

(Primary Approver)

Any time a new Professional Development request is submitted for pre-approval.

Pre-Approval Request Submitted

(Secondary Approver)

Whenever the primary approver approves a new Professional Development pre-approval request, and a secondary approver is assigned for the Professional Development Program.
Reimbursement Request Submitted Any time a Professional Development request has been pre-approved, and the employee has submitted their expense details for reimbursement approval.
