Compt: How to View Engagement and Dashboard Reports – Admins
Admins can find company-wide program stats in the Dashboard tab and view, filter, and export detailed reports in the Reporting tab.
The Dashboard tab gives you a quick snapshot of program highlights: claims waiting for review, employee activation, approved claim totals, how many employees are submitting claims, how much stipend budget has been spent, top vendors, and top categories.
The Reporting tab lets you view and export seven report types: Stipend expenses, Stipend utilization, Stipend adjustments, Recognition, Business expenses, Professional development budgets, and Professional development requests. Each report can be searched, filtered, limited to a date range, and customized with the columns you want. Some reports can also include a zip file of receipts.
OVERVIEW
Compt is the platform your company uses to manage employee stipends (pre-funded budgets for things like wellness, professional development, or home office expenses) and reimbursements (money paid back to an employee through payroll after a stipend claim is approved).
The Dashboard tab shows company-wide program metrics at a glance:
- Summary tiles: Claims requiring review, Days since last payroll, Employees activated, and Approved claims (YTD).
- Percentage of employees that submitted claims: a monthly chart with separate Stipends and Business expenses tabs.
- Stipends: a Percentage of stipend spent chart.
- Most used vendors (top 10): a table showing claims, employees, and spend per vendor.
-
Top categories: a chart you can switch between Claims and Spend.
The Reporting tab shows detailed, exportable data in seven report tabs:
- Stipend expenses: every stipend claim, with employee name, status, stipend name, perk category, vendor, amount, and date submitted.
- Stipend utilization: each employee's funded amount, amount spent, balance, and utilization percentage for each stipend.
- Stipend adjustments: every change made to stipend funding, such as funding, corrections, bonuses, and edited, deleted, or rejected expenses. Shows who made the change and who it affected.
- Recognition: recognition given between employees, with who gave it, who received it, the amount, date, reason, and stipend name.
- Business expenses: business expense report items, with employee name, status, report ID and title, expense ID, amount, and expense type.
- Professional development budgets: each professional development program's budget, pre-approved amount, reimbursed amount, and balance.
- Professional development requests: employee professional development requests, with program name, status, pre-approval amount, reimbursement amount, vendor, and description.

BEFORE YOU START
- You must be logged in to Compt as an Admin. Employees do not see the Dashboard or Reporting tabs.
- Access to these tabs is controlled by the Compt Roles assigned to your Admin account. If you're not sure which roles you have, see Compt: How to Update Employee Roles and Permissions – Admins.
- Both tabs are in the Admin section of the left-hand navigation menu.
- Dashboard dates follow your time zone. The Reporting date fields show which time zone they use (for example, EDT) when you hover over the ? icon next to the date label.
- Make sure your browser isn't blocking downloads or pop-ups from the Compt site.
HOW TO
To view the Dashboard
- Log into Compt.
- In the Admin section of the left-hand menu, click Dashboard.
- Review the four summary tiles at the top of the page. Hover over the ? icon on a tile for more detail.
- Employees activated shows active employees as a share of all active and invited employees (for example, 5/7 = 71%).
- Approved claims (YTD) shows the total of all approved claims this calendar year, in USD only. Pre-approved claims are not included. This total may not match total reimbursed claims exactly because of payroll timing.
- Scroll to Percentage of employees that submitted claims.
- Click the Stipends or Business expenses tab to switch the chart.
- Use the time-period dropdown to choose Current month, Last month, Current year, or Last year.
- Scroll to the Stipends section to see the Percentage of stipend spent chart. Use the time-period dropdown to change the time frame.
- Scroll to Most used vendors (top 10) to see claims, employees, and spend for each vendor.
- Scroll to Top categories.
-
Click Claims or Spend to switch how categories are ranked.
To filter Dashboard stipend data by a specific stipend
- In the Stipends section, click View legacy dashboard.
-
Use the stipend filter on the legacy dashboard. Filtering by stipend is coming to the new Dashboard.
To view a report
- In the Admin section of the left-hand menu, click Reporting.
- Click the report tab you want at the top of the page, for example Stipend expenses or Stipend utilization. Use the arrows to scroll through the tabs.
- To limit the report to a time period, enter a start date and an end date in the date fields next to the date label. The label changes by report (for example, Date submitted, Date range, Date given, or Pre-approval request date).
- To find specific records, type in the Search by... box.
- To search a single column, click the All columns dropdown and select a column, such as Email or Vendor.
- To narrow results, use the Filter panel on the right side of the table. Filters depend on the report and can include status, country, employee status, stipend name, perk category, amounts, and dates.
- To close the Filter panel, click Hide filters. To reopen it, click the filter icon.
- To choose which columns appear, click Show/hide columns.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If a Dashboard chart shows 0% or looks empty
- There may be no activity in the time period you selected. Try a wider period, such as Current year or Last year.
- Charts can take a moment to load. Wait until the "Doodling your data in..." message goes away.
If a report is missing rows you expected
- Check the date range. Only activity inside that window is included.
- Check the Filter panel for filters that are still selected.
- Clear the Search by... box and set the All columns dropdown back to All columns.
If a column you need isn't in the report or export
- Click Show/hide columns and check the column you need.
If nothing happens when you click Submit in the Export menu
- Make sure your browser isn't blocking downloads or pop-ups from the Compt site.
- Try a different browser if the problem continues.
If you don't see the Dashboard tab, the Reporting tab, or some report tabs
Access is controlled by your assigned Compt Roles. Ask another Admin to check your roles, or see Compt: How to Update Employee Roles and Permissions – Admins.
