Customizable Notifications for Email & Slack (Company Administrators)
You can now customize Email Notifications automatically sent to your employees from Compt!
Click on the Notifications Tab in Compt
To customize a new notification, click New Customizable Notification, or if you'd like to edit an existing notification, click the Pencil Icon under the Action column next to the notification you'd like to update
- You will then see the option to update the Notification Details
Notification Type: In this drop-down, you can select which notification you want to update.
Keep in mind that the notification type selected applies to all stipend types listed below and cannot be customized for individual stipends. We also cannot customize the notification schedule.

Notification Channel: In this drop-down, you can select if you want this notification updated for Email or Slack (if the Slack integration is active).
Subject Line: This text will appear on the Email Subject Line of the Email Message the employee receives. (This option does not appear if selecting Slack as the notification channel)
Custom Message: The text you enter will appear in a gray box after the "A Message from Your Company" header in the notification email sent.
This is a great way to add a personalized message from your company, making it less generic and more aligned with your company's personality and values.
Information that you can consider including in your custom messages:
- Welcome them to the company in the "Invitation" Notification
- Include the internal link to the company resources that provides the guidelines and other important details about the Compt Benefit provided to employees
- Let employees know when they can expect to see their expenses reviewed and the status updated (ie. Expenses are reviewed by the 5th of each month and you will receive an update if there is an issue with the expense you submitted)
- Provide the Compt FAQ page link to direct them to common questions and answers
- Remind employees that if they don't use their funds by the expiration date, they will lose them, and exceptions aren't made (if that is your company's practice).
Once you finish making your updates, click the "Enabled" check box to make the notification active immediately, and click Save.
If the Enabled check box is not selected on a notification, the notification will be a draft and will not be active.
